Playing baccarat on your mobile is an absolutely simple and straightforward affair. Firstly, this card game, like most other games, is a game of chance. This means that you don’t need to study byzantine strategies to make it at this game.
Baccarat is normally played with eight full decks of cards, and depending on the variation, a baccarat table will normally seat anywhere between eight and 12 seats. In brick and mortar casinos, baccarat tables are normally situated in secluded areas that are separate from other tables. This section in the casino is normally referred to as ‘baccarat pit.’
Types of Baccarat Bets
To play baccarat, whether online or in a land-based casino, you must understand that you can either bet on two hands. The first is the Banker’s Hand, and the second is the Player’s Hand. You can also decide to bet on neither and go for a Tie.
It should be noted that the Banker’s hand doesn’t represent the casino; it’s just one of the three options you can bet on while playing baccarat. Likewise, don’t also think that the Player’s hand represents the bets placed by the players.
You can bet on either the Banker, the Player, or a Tie. To avoid confusion, think of the Banker’s hand as Hand A, while that of the player as Hand B. The game starts by placing to cards on each of the hand.
Determining the Winner
Your job will be to select and bet on the hand that you think will be the winner after the totals are done. Note that the Face and Tens cards are all counted as zero points while all other cards are worth their face value. The Ace is counted as one point.
If the total points of the cards that are dealt is eight or nine for either the Banker or the Player, this becomes a natural win, and the game is over. The goal in baccarat is to have the total of the dealt cards in hand to be as close to nine as possible.
The Player’s Third Card
The third card scenario represents one of the most confusing aspect in baccarat. While playing, the Player’s hand is completed first. If there is a total of 8 or 9 the Player’s hand wins and will get no additional cards. However, if the Player stands on totals of 6 or 7, or any other total 0 through 5, a third card is drawn, unless the Banker has a natural win of 8 or 9. From here on, the Banker’s hand depends on the Player’s third card.
Double-Digit Totals and Ties
If the totals of either the Banker’s hand or the Player’s hand are worth more than 10, [double digits such as 11, 12, 13, etc.] the second digit of the total is considered. For example, let’s assume the Player’s hand is dealt a 6 and a 7 [which totals 13] this will make up a three-point hand. If the total is 16, this will make a six-point hand and so on.
If totals of both the Player and the Banker are equal, the player who bet on either will lose except those who bet on a tie. For instance, if totals of the Banker’s hand are equal to 7 [let’s say an Ace and a 6] and the Players hand is also 7 [maybe a 2 and a 5], this will be considered a tie.
Mobile Baccarat Odds
Baccarat has one of the lowest house edges amongst other casino games with the Player having only 1.24 and the Banker 1.4. The Banker has a slightly better chance of winning because their play largely depends on the outcome of the Player’s hand. The Banker will slightly win over 50% of the time.
The pay-outs are also slightly different with the Player taking a 1:1, while the Banker 0.95:1 (a 5% commission normally goes to the casino). Ties are placed at 8:1 but they are a rarity, and they normally carry a massive house edge.
Baccarat history
There only a few games out there that are sophisticated, elegant, and rich in history than the game of baccarat. This game has won the heart of many rollers and smart gamblers for generations now with its simplistic rules and low house edge.
Baccarat traces its antiquity back in the 1400s in the gambling halls of France and Italy. But within the past decades the game’s rise in casinos, especially in Asia and the UK has made it a favored game amongst casinos and players alike.
After being so popular in France and Italy back in the Middle Ages, it was only a matter of time before it spread to the rest of Europe and the world. Today, the game is one of the most popular alongside other card games such as Blackjack and Bingo.
Although the game has been associated with royalties as well as richly and extravagant punters, its spread into online casinos has made it a game for all. The evolution of mobile casinos has made it possible for players to play mobile baccarat wherever they are on the go!
Final Thoughts
As mentioned previously in this page, there’s no sure-fire strategy that will guarantee you baccarat goodies. The results are purely determined by pure chance and luck. However, if you bet your dough more on the Banker, you are sure to be on the winning end most of the time. But again, this doesn’t mean you should be aggressive with your stakes all the time! Be a responsible gambler. The sole objective of mobile baccarat should be having fun and enjoying the delights. This is exactly how it was ought to be from the gecko!
